You could also try your hand at Bughouse. In this online chess game, there are teams of two who play against each other. If a “piece” on one board is captured, it is passed to your partner on the other board. You can either make a normal move, or “drop” a piece. Only those pieces can be dropped that you have in hand, from your partner’s captures.
