- What is a game number and tournament number?
The game number and tournament number are numbers that identify all games and tournaments you play. Using this number you can refer to previously played games and tournaments for review.
- How do I make a new game to invite an opponent?
To invite someone for a game click on Start New Game button and choose a game, time and amount you want to play for.
- What type of language is acceptable in the chat room?
We are aware that many of our players reside in countries where English is not an official language, but for integrity and security purposes we must choose one language to be used in the ChessBoss chat.
Profane and insulting language is strictly prohibited at our site. We also do not permit solicitation for money or play money and flooding (sending of frequent messages and/or advertisement that disturbs communication between other players).
- What happens if I get disconnected during a game or tournament?
In case you get disconnected, your game will be adjourned 2 times per 24 hrs. In this case you have up to 30 min or until the end of the game time to come back and finish the game, otherwise it will be forfeited automatically. If you get disconnected more than 2 games or tournaments per 24 hours the game will automatically be cancelled after your game time runs out.
- How do I register for a tournament?
To register for a tournament a player must be logged on to his ChessBoss account. Click on Tournaments tab, choose the kind of tournament you wish to participate in. Open this tournament’s lobby and click on green “Register” button.
- What if can’t make it to the tournament or don’t want to play anymore?
If you changed your mind about playing the tournament that you have already registered for, simply look up the tournament lobby of the event and click the red “Unregister” button.
- How many games and/or tournaments can be played at the same time?
A player can participate in up to 3 games and 3 tournaments at the same time. It is suggested that you realize your limits in playing multiple games/tournaments before joining.
- How do I cash out the funds and what are my options?
To cash out your funds, please sign in to ChessBoss and go to Cashier--> Withdrawal. You can find further information about cash out options in Getting Started section of our web site or contact us by email at cashier@ChessBoss.com.
- I would like to play under different names, can I have more than one ChessBoss account?
No, ChessBoss players are not allowed to have more than one account per person for security reasons.
